Welcome to The Folx Collective’s website and digital services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

The Folx Collective (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to uplifting and empowering Black, Femme, Queer, and other marginalized LGBTQ+ individuals. These Terms help ensure that our Services are safe, inclusive, and legally protected spaces for everyone.

 

1. Eligibility

You may use our Services only if you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/UK), and you agree to these Terms. If you are using our Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.

 

2. Use of Services

You agree to use our Services in accordance with all applicable laws and in a respectful, inclusive manner. You may not:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

  • Upload or share offensive, discriminatory, or harassing content

  • Interfere with the security or functionality of the Services

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or access source code of our Services

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms or harm our community in any way.

 

3. Donations and Payments

If you make a donation or other payment through our Services:

  • You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided

  • All payments are processed securely by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe)

  • Donations are generally non-refundable unless explicitly stated or required by law

  • We will issue donation receipts in compliance with IRS regulations

 

4. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, text, graphics, and design elements on our Services are the property of The Folx Collective or our partners, unless otherwise noted.

You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any part of our Services for commercial purposes without our express written permission.

 

5. User-Submitted Content

You may have the opportunity to submit content (e.g., comments, testimonials, event registrations). By doing so:

  • You grant The Folx Collective a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with our mission and services

  • You represent that you own or have permission to use and submit such content

  • You agree not to submit any content that is unlawful, hateful, or otherwise violates these Terms

We reserve the right to remove or moderate any content at our discretion.

 

6. Privacy

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our Services, you consent to our data practices as described therein.

 

7. Third-Party Links

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, practices, or policies. Use third-party sites at your own discretion.
